Good sense.

Where does good sense (wisdom) come from and who gets it? Have you ever wondered what comes with wisdom?

Read Proverbs 2:7-8 (

Here Proverbs tells us that good sense (wisdom) comes from God and is given to the godly, His saints – another phrase for godly or saints would be God’s people. God owns and reigns over everything, even us humans. But those who choose to be His, He calls: godly/ saints/ my people.

When we are His, we get good sense (wisdom) as well. And with this wisdom comes God’s protection!

Do you need His good sense and protection today?

Don’t Worry!

In Luke 10:38-41 ( we read about Martha, whose focus was too much on serving. She worried and got upset about many things. Are you a Martha at times, or maybe too often? Do you hold onto to your worries or do you leave them with God?

Read Proverbs 11:28 here –

God wants us to trust Him. He wants us to give our burdens and worry over to Him. We will grow and flourish like trees when we do. Can you hear Him say, ‘come my child and trust in me”?

What are you worried about that you need to trust God with?

Know that you know.

There are many people who say that they are Christians, but they are not. Be careful that you don’t make this same mistake. Do not be satisfied with the “perhaps” or “I think so” or “my pastor says so” or “my parents are Christians”. Do not be content until you know, that you know, that you know, that the Lord is your light and your salvation, that Jesus is your Lord and God.

Proverbs 2:3-5 ( tells us that we should ask for understanding on knowing God. It takes understanding and wisdom to know that God is God.

Ask God today for understanding and wisdom to know that you know.

Fear of Failing…

No one loves to fail at things – we want to be winning at life all the time. For some of us though, the fear of failure stops us from even trying. Is this you? Are you afraid to do something you know you will love because you fear you may fail at it?

Proverbs 31 is a Proverb about the godly woman – but I think verse 25 ( can be applied to both guys and girls. This is the way God wants us to live, not in fear of the future (what might or might NOT happen) but walking boldly through life in His strength.

How can you let go of fear and walk in His strength today?
