God is in control

What do these four words mean for you, “God is in control” – take a moment to think about that.

What does life look like for us when we really know in our hearts that God “determines our steps”? Would you worry less about all the things you need? Would you worry less about what you will be doing after school? Most importantly, would you TRUST God more with your life?

Life is filled with uncertainty, BUT JESUS is there saying, “Don’t worry man, I’ve got you – come hang with me and I will show you the way to go.”

TRUST GOD.

Trust God. Again I say it – trust God. It is not hard for me to say this to you and it is good for you to hear this. Why should we trust God?

Proverbs 3:5 says that we can trust in the Lord. The Lord is our God, the one who made us; and so cares for us. God is good, all the time. God saves us from Satan – our evil enemy. God is light and love and the way, the truth and the life. God does not change. Our parents change, our friends change, we change – but God never changes and so we can trust him.

Are you trusting God for something really huge at the moment – and kinda stressing out too?

Here’s a thought: God can fling stars and part the Red Sea. What you’re trusting him for is not too big. His power is infinite.

And the best news is that he’s not just a powerful God. He’s a powerful God who LOVES you. Zephaniah 3v17 says, ‘For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.’

Spend some time today talking to him?

God’s CV

This week we’re taking a look back at last year through some posts out of Small Spaces – theWordspace’s guilt-free devotional. If you’re interested in grabbing a copy or supporting tWS, give us a shout 🙂

Here’s today’s post:

Does God have a CV? If the God you know were applying for the ‘job’ to be in charge of your life, would you let Him?

Here’s Isaiah 40v28-31: ‘The Lord is the everlasting God; the creator of the ends of the earth; He will not grow tired; His understanding no-one can fathom; He gives strength; those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength’

That’s just part of God’s CV: He never tires. He gives us strength. He is bigger that our understanding. I would trust that. How about you?
