“In Time”

We’re taking it back to 2011 with this movie. How would you live your life if you stopped aging at 25 years old (the dream – forever young), you needed to buy time to live, and time was literally money?

This movie highlights the truth about time – that it’s the REAL commodity we should be paying attention to. Once your time runs out, that’s it.

So, how are you spending your time these days?
Are you spending time growing in your relationship with God?
Are you being kind to others?
Are you working towards being salt and light in the world around you?

“All Together Now”

Get the tissues, this is a sad one with a very sweet ending. For Amber it seems like the storm is never ending as things just go from bad to worse. She becomes so strong and independent in her struggles of life that she finds it so hard to ask for help and accept help when it is given.

Are you facing a giant life storm at the moment? Asking for help is not a sign weakness.
Or perhaps you can be the friend to offer help and support to someone in your world.
We were never meant to do life on our own!

“Sierra Burgess is a Loser”

The title of this movie is maybe true at the start BUT definitely not at the end of it. LABELS. Sierra is labelled. She needs to decide whether the labels her peers have given her will influence who she is or not.

It’s so easy to allow what others say about us become what we believe about ourselves. What false, negative labels have people placed on you? Have you allowed them to get to you? Have you allowed them to become you?

Why not shake them off and replace them with the truth of what God says about you!

Psalm 139:13-14 (

Ultron: “The most versatile substance on the planet, and they used it to build a Frisbee.”
Hawkeye: “We’re fighting an army of robots, and I have a bow and arrow.”

Imagine if Captain America and Hawkeye took those words to heart. That would have been the end of the movie (and the Avenger series).

Imagine if Old Moses discarded his staff at the Red Sea – Teenage David ugly-cried into his sling – Little boy ate his fish burger while 5000 hungry tummies rumbled – If you forgot what you have in Christ.

“In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall” (2 Samuel 22:30 –
