Mumford & Sons – Beloved
This is a sad song. But it’s a song that carries a beautiful reminder:

“Before you leave
You must know you are beloved
And before you leave
Remember I was with you”

When last have you told your mom, dad, brother, or sister that you love them?
Truth is, people won’t always be around. Appreciate the time you have with them – remind them you love them.

And speaking of love. Have you paused to think about how much God loves you? The lyrics of today’s song reminded me of Jeremiah 31:3 (

He loves you not just for a week. His love is everlasting!

Sacrificial love. Greater love.

Jesus is no longer on a hill outside Jerusalem hanging on a cross, offering Himself as a living sacrifice as a sign of His unconditional love for everyone.

So, where is He?
At the right hand of God, the Father right? (Romans 8:34 – Yes, but also

in the heart of the one who shares their lunch.
in the hands of the one who gives a gift.
in the mind of the one who remembers a Birthday.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13 –

Jesus is present in every act of sacrificial love. Why not join Him today?

100% messed up

We might think that we are pretty good people.

But Romans 3:10 ( hits us saying that there is nobody righteous. In reality none of us is worthy enough for God, we all mess up, always missing the mark, thinking wrong thoughts, speaking unkindly to others.

Yet when we realise that we cannot possibly be good enough, humble ourselves and turn to Him – then we come to learn that despite our unworthiness, He came and took our worthlessness and made us worthy by His death on the cross.

What love is this!
Read 2 Corinthians 5:21 (

You are loved

In Luke, we see Pharisees getting mad at Jesus for hanging out with scum. But Jesus says to them, ‘Healthy people don’t need a doctor – sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.’ (Luke 5:31-32

Jesus wasn’t deceived or delusional. He knew the tax collector and his mates were wholeheartedly engaged in lives of sin. But He reached out and loved them anyway. Jesus isn’t deceived or delusional about anything in your life either.

He reaches out and loves you anyway.
He longs for you to lean into Him today.
