Wondered why more people don’t follow Jesus? Feel like Christians are targets? An atheist said this on Friday: ‘You see, Christians, people don’t object to what you believe in. They object to your behaviour… There’s a big difference between objecting to a belief, and objecting to having that belief forced on everyone.'(Full article here:

It’s important to have good reasons for our faith, but arguments don’t always change people. Jesus said: ‘This is how everyone will recognize that you are my discipleswhen they see the love you have for each other.’

Check out Ephesians 6v12 ( How can you upgrade your ‘love-one-another?’

As I pray today with my hands together, I look at my ring finger. Those in love place engagement and wedding rings on these fingers. So I think about love. I am encouraged by this truth about your love:

‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness.’ (Jeremiah 31v3)

Thank you that your love never fails. I pray for those in my family and among my friends and even my enemies. I pray that your love becomes REAL to them. God, how can I show that love? Will you teach me? Let me live with actions of love. Amen

Jeremiah 31 here:

We’re to be like Jesus, right? Jesus is God. God is love. Love is patient. So, to be a little more like Jesus today – to let his love live in you and through you – ask him to show you where you could be a little more patient.

Like, wait for your friend who always takes ages to pack up after each class. Let your mom finish what she has to say before going ‘Ja, but!’ Listen to what your little sister finds exciting and you find lame. Breathe.

‘Love is … patient’ (1 Corinthians 13v4)

Do you know Sara Bareilles’ song Brave? Check these lyrics out:

‘You can be amazing / You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug / You can be the outcast / Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love / Or you can start speaking up …

…I wonder what would happen if you / Say what you wanna say / And let the words fall out / Honestly, I wanna see you be brave’

Paul said ‘speak the truth in love as we grow to be more like Jesus.’ (Ephesians 4v15)

Is there love-filled truth you need to speak today? A word to encourage or make someone feel loved? Or maybe: ‘stop, enough!’

Go on – be brave, loving, kind with your words today.
