We see divorce, heartbreak and betrayal in movies, books and hardest of all, in our families. Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer begins by painting a picture of an “ideal” relationship before explaining how it all ended sour.

Love me ’til the day I die and Surrender my everything ’cause you made me believe you’re mine. There is only one person whom we can truly have this type of relationship with. Jesus.

1 John 3:1 (http://bit.ly/2vES7o8) explores the idea of God loving us ’til the day we die, and that He is now our father! Let the knowledge of this love be the sound track of your life today.

Have you ever felt like your shame is a barrier stopping you from coming to God? The Heart of Man is that film which goes deep. I mean, really deep.

It’s a modern-day portrayal of the prodigal son – that famous parable Jesus told all those years ago of a father’s reckless love for his rebellious son. It’s talking about you. And this movie captures the ‘rawness’ of that story with brilliant honesty.

It asks the question: instead of the shame you’re feeling being a barrier to God’s love, what if you saw it rather as a bridge to forgiveness, freedom, and hope?

I told you it goes deep.

God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins wow. That’s love in action.
It’s always amazing when someone treats you lovingly, whether it be giving you a hug, making you a cup of tea or sending you a scripture.

Gary Chapman identified 5 love languages (i.e. how we feel loved): words of affirmation, acts of service, gifts, affection and quality time. This can be used as a tool on how to show love. However, Jesus shows us ultimate love and He is our ultimate guide.

How could you love like Jesus this week?

Jesus loves me

No matter how young or old you are, how long you have loved and known Jesus for, it is important to hold onto foundational truths we find in the Bible. When we face hardship, challenges and anything else life throws at us it is important to come back to what is true.

“Jesus loves me this I know, for my Bible tells me so… Yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me.”

These are lyrics to one of the simplest Christian songs, yet they make the perfect sound track to your life. Read John 3:16 (http://bit.ly/23IQJw5) – reflect on the greatness of the love Christ has for you.
