Jonah 4

READ Jonah 4 (http://bit.ly/2VfweZ4).
What is this book all about? It’s about our God.

This story shows a compassionate God, a God of kindness and love who wants to forgive and bless all people – when we turn to Him.

Have you turned to God?
Have you asked for His forgiveness?

This offer of knowing the grace of God is open to you – no matter what you have done, the Lord wants to show you His love.

Will you accept the kindness of God?
I hope that we will all be like the people of Nineveh and do so today!

Jonah 4

READ Jonah 4 (http://bit.ly/2VfweZ4).

The last chapter of Jonah is very interesting.

We see that Jonah got mad at God. Jonah did not like the people of Nineveh and wanted the Lord to destroy them. Jonah admitted to God that he knew He was a kind and compassionate God, who would show kindness to the people of Nineveh if they asked for forgiveness. God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry?” (Jonah 4:4)

God is compassionate.

If you feel about some people, the way Jonah felt about the people of Nineveh – ask God today to change your heart with His kindness and compassion.

Jonah 3

READ Jonah 3 (http://bit.ly/2Vkv0Mj).

When Jonah arrived in Nineveh, his message was heard and the people of the city, including the king, all bowed before the God of Heaven and asked for forgiveness. They saw that they were sinners who had done many evil things. So they stopped what they were doing and called out to the Lord, asking for His mercy. God heard and did not destroy them. God showed kindness to them and forgave them of their sins.

God is kind. He is forgiving.
What about you, have your turned to the Lord?

Jonah 2

READ Jonah 2 (http://bit.ly/2Vn8jH5).

As Jonah ran away on the ship to Tarshish, God sent a storm to stop the ship sailing away from Nineveh so that Jonah would go and speak about Him to the people of Nineveh.

Our God, the God of the Bible, is a God of “salvation” (Jonah 2:9).

This means that God wanted to save the people of Nineveh from their sin – like He wants to show kindness to us, and save us from our sin.

Do you believe that God wants to save you from your sin?
