The shepherds believed the message of God told to them by the angels.

“When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, ‘Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about'”.
(Luke 2:15 –

Believing in God’s Word is not easy. A book written over many years, by different authors from various cultures different to yours (although inspired by Holy Spirit), is going to present some challenges.

Faith is key to overcoming these challenges. Faith to read, believe and act.
Like the shepherds, you may discover God in an unexpected place.

The angel answered (Mary), “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35 –

All those years ago God trusted a teenage girl with Jesus, the ‘good news of great joy for everyone’ (Luke 2:10 – Most adults would see that as pretty risky. But God thought that it was the best idea.

God is still trusting teens (you included) with the news about Jesus.
“And how can they believe in him (Jesus) if they have never heard about him?” (Romans 10:14,15 –

It’s the day before Jesus will be born on earth. God has a choice.

‘Cling to his rights as God’ OR ‘make himself nothing, appearing in human form’ (Philippians 2:6,7 –

We know the outcome, but have you considered what that decision teaches us about God?
God ishumble, sacrificial, obedient, loving, generous, selfless (insert your word).

It is the day before Christmas. You have a choice.

“Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had” (Philippians 2:5 – OR you can make today all about you.

Have you considered what your choice is teaching the world around you?

I love the Christmas song, “The first Noel, the Angels did say”

These words make me think of the first Christmas written down for us in Luke 2 because the word Noel means Christmas.
Read it here –

This song tells us that when the first Christmas happened, the Angels of God sang songs about it. This is true and we read about it in the Bible. Christmas is a time that is so wonderful that we must join with the Angels in singing.

When will you join in with the Angels and sing about Christmas?
