Giving into temptation doesn’t usually start with an action, it starts with a casual thought or a quick glance at an image or something right? Often the temptation grabs hold of us because we take a second look or decide to let that thought settle in and take over.

Proverbs 4:25 says, ‘Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.’

If you know you are in danger of giving into temptation that will draw you away from God, practise keeping yourself away from places where that temptation is in plain sight. Let your eyes or thoughts rest on other things.

Living With Grace

Have you ever experienced something you might say was grace? Grace is invisible, so if you’re going to see it, it will be because someone made it visible to you. Maybe in something they said, maybe in something they did – or didn’t do…

Who are the people you will see today? What can you do that will surprise them with grace? The challenge is seeing over the wall of our own concerns and cares, so that we are able to spot the grace moments where God can use us. And what enables us to get over ourselves like that? You guessed it – grace.

Hear Paul encouraging us to live with grace in Ephesians 4 – http://bit.ly/HsWklQ

Showcasing Grace

God knows everything about you. Of all the sins that clung to him on the cross, He knew which ones were yours. Yet He says He’s wiped them from His mind (Isaiah 43:25). He’s chosen not to remember. He has forgiven you. Flooded your life with grace and mercy.

Do you showcase His grace by treating others in the same way? Is there someone in your life that needs a little grace? Or maybe a lot? It’s not easy. But ask God to help you to dish out the same mercy that he has heaped onto you.

A-pos-WHAT!?

What crime do you think would justify a death sentence? Murder? Rape? Child abuse? Apostasy?

A-pos-WHAT?!

Mariam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag, 27, was condemned to death by hanging on May 15 this year for apostasy: for becoming a follower of Jesus! Given the choice to abandon Jesus or face a death sentence, she refused to deny her faith.

Yesterday, prayers for her protection were answered and the Sudanese government announced they would release her (http://bbc.in/1nDNwwt).

Check out some other brave youngsters in Daniel 3 (http://bit.ly/1odRk3D).

What do you need to say NO or YES to as an act of loving Jesus?
