WordSpace is a ministry of Scripture Union South Africa.
Here’s what some of our readers have said
Hello, I luv the messages, simple, down to earth, wording which applies to modern life, thank you!
It’s like you guys always know what to say …
It is amazing how the topic of the day so often speaks into a situation that has just occurred. Our God is truly an awesome God, He rules from Heaven above.
Sometimes on school mornings, I forget to read devotions because I’m too busy worrying about if I have everything and if I’m on time but now with WordSpace I can read a devotion wherever I am. Thank you for that
Wow u guys can give some good messages and I hope God blesses u
Well-done app An intuitive new way to engage with God from day-to-day
We post a different topic each day – to keep things fresh
We post a lot about #knowingGod. It’s our prayer these posts will help you discover just how good and beautiful God is and explore how to relate to God better. Life becomes so much better when that happens…
It’s so tempting to believe the lies we tell ourselves and hear from others about who we are. In our #GodsViewofYou posts, we take back the truth about who we really are and how God sees us.
Figuring out life with God can be hard. We hope our #faithworks posts will help give you the wisdom, courage and sensitivity you might need to live out your faith in the real, messy world.
Good artists take snapshots of the way life is and shake our imaginations with truth wrapped in beauty. Sometimes the truth is plain to see, other times we need God’s perspective to help make sense of what we see or hear. In our #YourSoundtrack posts we go digging for nuggets of truth in the songs you’ve probably been listening to on the radio, iPod, YouTube …
It’s hard to beat the power of a good story well told. Movies can do that brilliantly. Sometimes movies capture a fresh and exciting way of seeing part of a much bigger Story. They can show us truth that points to the One who is Truth. In our #theStoryinFilm posts we go hunting for those moments …
In our #wisewords posts we go searching for wisdom in the book of Proverbs. What we find is often surprising … and still amazingly relevant for young people today
We really want to be relevant to the lives of young people. Sometimes the best way to do that is to broadcast posts written by teenagers for teenagers – right out of the messiness of life. Real, honest, prayerful – we’ve loved seeing what our readers send in (yes, you can send us something too).
How should we respond to what’s happening right now in our world? #GodsStoryNow will offer some reflective thoughts on what’s headlined this past week.
We have a really cool team of writers who know what it’s like to be a young person trying to figure out life with God.
Tracy Rens
God wired me with an adventurous spirit and has lead me into some interesting places…like getting interrogated in a small room filled with heavily armed anti-Christian military and living to tell the tale. Following God and trusting Him has led to so many mind-blowing stories of his goodness and love. Never a dull moment with God!
Together with my hubby, Eugéne, we creatively communicate Christ through Act Won Creative Arts (www.actwon.co.za). Team Rens (including our son) enjoy dancing with abandon, living out loud and laughing as often as passionate children of God on an epic rollercoaster-ride of faith.
Eugene Rens
A Random fun fact about me is that I swam with crocodiles twice (once voluntarily, the other not so much). I love the adventure that is being a Dad, producing a radio drama series, the ministry of the Coffee Cup and living in Cape Town. Together with my bride Tracy, we creatively communicate Christ through Act Won Creative Arts (www.actwon.co.za). My son and I are enjoying listening to TobyMac , Hollyn, Sting, Audio Adrenalin, Black Violin. Who-am-i? Eugéne Rens
